Dec 10, 2015- A team of police and a gang of marijuana smugglers exchanged fire at Bagan Khola, Tikliya-8 in Saptari district on Tuesday night.
According to the police, they opened fire in retaliation after the smugglers opened fire at them during a routine patrol in the area. The cannabis traders fled the scene following the incident, leaving behind 40 kgs of marijuana.
Meanwhile, Morang police have arrested five individuals in possession of five kg marijuana. Chandra Bishwakarma, Narendra Limbu, Pandav Chaudhary, Purna Rai and Samyog Rai were arrested by the police with the contraband drugs.
